Special Track
On
Data Mining and
Computer Modeling
in
the Tourism Industry
The tourism industry is a major contributor to the economy of many countries and is faced by multiple challenges. Tourism is a complex industry where many factors affect its operation and a huge amount of significant data is collected. Decision makers need to be supported by the right decision tools to make the right decisions based on a proper interpretation of the data.
Data mining and machine learning techniques can be effectively used for the purpose of helping decision makers to increase the revenue generated from the tourism industry. The purpose of this special track is to bring together researchers from diverse communities working on computational methods that can be of high value for the field of the Tourism Industry to present and discuss the latest state of the art in this field.
